How to Select the Best Plug

The right plug depends on more than hole diameter alone. Match the process, temperature, fit, plug geometry, removal method, and expected reuse to the actual conditions on your line.

Start with the process

Identify whether the plug will be exposed to powder coating, e-coating, plating, anodizing, wet paint, blasting, cleaning, shipping, or general protection conditions.
